Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hey mate smile.gif

Merry Christmas! Your take has good timing but it sounds a bit too rigid, as in my opinion, you need to spend a little more time with it to make it sound natural. At this point, it feels like you are struggling to keep the pace, or you are too tense when executing. Also, check your guitar a bit, as I think it is a tad de-tuned..

Relax and try to play with this attitude in mind - I am sure you will be there in no time wink.gif

Great man! Love to see You playing over it smile.gif Happy to know You enjoy it smile.gif That was the purpose - make something musical to practice so You won't get bored while practicing smile.gif Now let's get to the point

1. Guitar tuine - always recheck twice. You can check the notes on frets instead of just tuning open strings. Guitars are nasty instrument in case of tuning so it's usually about good strings stretch and making a compromise...some frets could be + a few cents, some - a few cents. This is why it's so important to check a few different places on the fretboard and get best compromise wink.gif

2. Tone - nice and crunch. Perfect for this lesson smile.gif

3. Your playing could be a bit more tight. You sound like You're on the "Just finished to know where is what" stage. You need a bit more time to make it perfect an go to the stage "My fingers go there without thinking". That's the point where You'll be able to focus on details smile.gif That's a natural process smile.gif

4. To many things at the same time want help so let's focus on single issues. You have a classical guitar 1st finger shape - rounded. Playing on distortion demands a lot of muting job. Most of us uses very flat 1st finger shape so it always rest on the strings below the one You play. This will help to avoid all unwanted noises smile.gif

Hi mate! Nice take but even nicer guitar!! I have nothing to add to Cosmin and Darius comments. Keep on practicing to feel more comfortable with the take and remember to check your guitar's tuning.

Cheers!

Good, strong take. Your picking is nice and consistent. As the guys say, you can still relax a bit more but that will come with time. The most important things you learn are alternate picking and you're doing that just fine smile.gif

Tuning has already been mentioned.. I think that the G string was the worst offender. It's always the G strings ! rolleyes.gif
