Muris,
Which technique took you the longest to master? I seem to constantly struggle with my alternate picking mad.gif mad.gif
Seems like no matter what I do I just can't get it to the level I want. My legato and tapping and even economy picking and sweeping seem to come so much easier. On your canon lesson it seems like all the licks are coming together and I can even play most of it close to tempo, but the AP run is just KICKING MY @$$!! I am also struggling with the hybrid picking although I have only been working on it for about a month and I am making really good progress. Just curious if you ever went through a time where you were frustrated with a certain technique that just didn't seem to be happening for you!! What did yo do?

To be honest,I haven't master any of techniques,
that;s how I see things. smile.gif
Ok,I can be satisfied with my technique for s moment
but then I go to Youtube, watch few clips and realize that
situation isn't that great after all. biggrin.gif
My point is,your technique(in general or just of of them)
is good enough as much as you're working on it.
I was probably "frustrated" with some things during my progress
but I would rather call it an extra motivation or
guide in which way focus yourself.
So,if that is alternate picking then practice more alternate picking
but don't forget about other techniques, that is what I would do.
Best thing is that you realized your picking needs more work,
always set yourself highest goals and go for them. smile.gif

pfft...
if you pick any faster than you do (example, Do48 or something on youtube), it sounds like rubbish. Good example is Rustey cooley also.
Love the speed and phrasing of your technique.
