GMC Forum _ GEAR & PRODUCTION _ Stuck With Cubase Le5 :(

Posted by: Christophe Oct 13 2011, 03:45 PM

Hi guys !

I'm really really really reaaaaaally borred with this, everytime I want to record a GMC Lesson I'm stuck with the problem of sound recording, I plug my Zoom into my pc and plug my guitar on the Zoom, I open Cubase LE5 and then... Cubase doesn't recognize my Zoom, it doesn't even display anything somewhere. The only thing happening is that Cubase recognize my voice through my headset...

Please help me, I want to record myself ! sad.gif

NB : If you want some screenshots of device setup or something else tell me.

PS : And sometimes the sound doesn't go in the headset but in my amplifier...

Hi there, you need to select your Zoom as audio device for use in Cubase.

To do that go to : Devices > Device Setup > VST Audio System > and here (http://pix.thefarm.se/20110628003030/20111013171939/) select your Zoom ASIO driver

It should work then! smile.gif

It doesn't work. The other VST Audio System is DirectX (it's windows driver) :/

OK - then you need to install drivers for your Zoom device. Does it offer recording via USB?

OK - then you need to install a ASIO driver for it.

You can find it on this page : http://www.zoom.co.jp/downloads/g2nu/software/
Look at the bottom of it : http://pix.thefarm.se/20110628003030/20111013173409/

When you install the ASIO driver - your audio interface (Zoom) will be available to choose in the drop down list in Cubase (ASIO).

BOGDAN YOU RAWK! This was a great troubleshooting thread. I"m not familiar with CuBase at all so I'm glad somebody is a pro with it. Also, impressive knowledge of ASIO drivers and such. Nice!
