It is taking me more than 30 years to get back to picking up the guitar, I started in middle teens with Classical...then life happened and never got back to it.
I bought my 8 year girl a nice classical guitar and in trying to teach her the little I knew, I am all the sudden interested again, so I bought my middle of the road Epiphone classical guitar...I am obsessed with learning Bossa nova and Salsa rhythms.
It has been very difficult because my finger dexterity and knowledge of chords are totally gone from my mind
I have been using Gerardo Siere lessons Bossa nova and Salsa(he did a most excellent job there) and Dejan Farkas Raindrops classical lesson.
I am doing it by ear and visuals, I am having the most difficult time learning the tempo in the Bossa Nova lessons, my timing is off and it does not sound right, and I am determined to get it, I hope this does not make me go back into retirement once again.
Awesome site, this is heaven for any Intermediate level quitarist
