Thoughts About Next Instructor Collab?

I must say that the finished instructor collab turned out into something really special - I am proud I was a part of it and I think everyone (especially Ivan) did an awesome job!

I have been thinking a little about the next collab - and it struck me that it would probably be really cool if we could have a backing that is a whole song. The obvious downside is that it will be harder to include as many different styles as Ivan did, however I still think it oculd turn out really cool.

I know Muris suggested his "Junk Medley" backing, and I have also seen some awesome full-length-songs by Trond on the uploads board.

Any thoughts about this? smile.gif

That sounds like a brilliant idea! and i would be absolutely honored if one of my songs were used smile.gif

It would need a bit more planning perhaps with a full song containing various sections.
Maybe split each section up, and have f.eks 2 solo's on a verse, and randomly pick who should play where?
That might also make it more challenging.

Sounds like a good idea! biggrin.gif

Perhaps when we have got a whole track we can let everyone choose which section they want to go for?

Me for example - I usually want some prominent chord changes. I have a harder time coming up with cool stuff over something "static".

Song collabs sound very fun, and completed arrangements are cool. THen we can eventually make a list of GMC songs made by instructors smile.gif Distant thought - but possible! smile.gif

Hve a little different idea for some collaboration. A theme with variations, like the canon thing, let's take some excerpt from a solo or song, transform it a little into something new over a short chord progresion (16 measures: 8+8) and then the other s post their versions.
