So im making a solo to the song Viking KOng by paul gilbert and i have made this lick:

E:--------------------------------------------------------
B:--------------------------------------------------------
G:-------13-14-16---------------13-14-15-------------
D:--------------------12-14-15--------------------------
A:---------------------------------------------12-14-15-
E:---------------------------------------------------------
Using the E dominant phrygian scale.

How do i make this lick more gilbertish?

I cant play it at full speed yet, but i bet you can.. how does it sound? is it a gilbert sounding lick? Could you mabye do a little rec of the lick??

Thank you Emir smile.gif

BTW, is it true that our gonna make yngwie`s triology suite song lesson?? i cant wait biggrin.gif

Try like this. Gilbert uses this rhytmical shape a lot

E:----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B:----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
G:-------13-14-16-14-13-----------------------13-14-16-14-13---------------------
D:----------------------------15-14-12-14-15-----------------------------------------
A:---------------------------------------------------------------------15-14-12-14-15
E:----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's not really in even number of notes but you can stick it somewhere if you play it really fast.

About the Yngwie lesson, I started but I think it will take months until I finish all the moving dots that we have to use when teaching covers. The recording is ready but that's really the easier part smile.gif I am working on some other ones until I feel like doing that boring job again or maybe come up with some easier solution.
