Well, I wanted a fixed bridge guitar so I could mess with drop tunings. Thanks Lian and Zsolt! I blame the both of you.

So, I was monkeying around in a local store and they were blowing out this little beast because they said nobody is interested in this type of guitar.

Schecter C-1 Blackjack.

Luck for me, because it was exactly what I was interested in.

While talking to a guy who knew a guy, who knew about another guy who had a guitar, I picked up this little baby!

This is a Parker PM20 Pro

Both guitars have dual Seymour Duncan HB's, both coil tap both pickups. The guitars seem to duplicate some efforts, but they are both just really really nice. **shrug** Like I said, I'm a guitar owner first, player second.

Cheers!...and don't get too close to me. It's terribly contagious!

Ummm...13. I have a Washburn classical that I don't count because I used it to defend myself 20 years ago and it has a big hole in the back. I don't remember the story thanks to my old friend Jack Daniels, but I keep the guitar around to remind myself of why I don't drink.

Thanks for the replies guys. The Schecter is a really deep and growly guitar. I can't wait to get going on some of Zsolt's and Lian's lessons with it. The Parker, well, I've never played a guitar like this. It's smooth as my children's faces. I will definitely have to learn to play better to do all this gear justice.

Anyway, the fit and finish on both guitars is really something. I've never had a set neck electric guitar before. Interestingly, the Parker weighs about half what the Schecter does.

I don't even try to fight it. I only use one criterion when looking at new gear. #1 Will it bring me joy? If I satisfy that, then yeeeeehaawwww!!!
