You're doing a real great job with your entries, Staffay.
Jaco is my favourite bass player. When you listen to him, you don't need to think about 5-strings or 6-strings basses biggrin.gif
A sad story about his death, really.

Thx. Jerry. He was one of my favourites also.... His story is very tragical, and we lost a great musician in him....
I remember how it was back then, when every bass player around was trying to copy Jaco's licks, and he actually had no competition at all. (nobody ever succeeded either, for that matter... )

hey staffay, EXCELLENT!! article on jaco, yeah i agree 100% he was amazing & awesome, when i first hear him i couldn,t believe what i was hearing, i didn,t know the bass could sound sooooo cool. i almost wanted to put the guitar aside and take up bass playing! but because he was so technical i thought either way guitar or bass, both were gonna take a long time commitment and since i already had a guitar that,s what i stuck with, but i never forgot how close i was to switching to the bass because of JACO!!!....great job on this one biggrin.gif
