*snip* now if you want the younger ladies you have to look like one hahaha. I aint wearin no dress, sorry! I turned 40 last week. This Sunday at church, our regular acoustic guitar player (probably in his 50's) was out, so they brought in someone new. New guy was probably in his early 20's. After church service was over and we went to pick up our guitars, the new young guitar player was immediately surrounded by cute young girls that wanted to talk to him. That never happens to us older guys. It anything, it's out wives telling us to hurry up and get our gear packed. I hear ya. I frequent another board that is geared for finding band members and quite often the ads go something like this " looking for instrument x player(s) - must be 17 - 22 years old...". haha. It makes sense tho. Hanging out with people who could be your parents just isn't cool - and being in a band is supposed to be cool Christian A. -------------------- The more I practice, the more I wish I had time to practice!

you are never too old to be a rockstar, now if you want the younger ladies you have to look like one, doesn't mather what age are you, look at steven tyler, slash, acdc all the old dogs edit: well slash is not old, but he's already mature, and he got a LOT attention Well, Slash is just a couple of years younger than me, but already got a pacemaker due to his way of living. And I bet I would do a lot better than him with all his girls.... So like I said before, You can never get too old to rock - just behave like You were 19 again on stage. If You got a problem with this, just remember Your first date in the backseat of Your parents car.... //Staffay -------------------- Guitars: Ibanez AM-200, Ibanez GB-10, Fender Stratocaster Classic Player, Warmouth Custom Built, Suhr Classic Strat, Gibson Les Paul Standard 2003, Ibanez steel-string Amps: Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, Marshall JMP 2103, AER 60 Effects: BOSS DD-20, Danelectro Trans. I dunno what to do with those young babes anyway - I could probably come up with something fairly easy though.... But in my age, You really want a WOMAN, not a girl, like Ms.Pfeiffer for instance. Anyway, I want to share some metamorphosises with You guy's that I learned when I was in the twenties: (women and russians may be excused)
A woman in her 20'ths is like a Swedish babe - blond, stupid and useless. A woman in her 30'ths is like an Italian car - fast, expensive and thirsty. A woman in her 40'ths is like a Mercedes - reliable, comfortable and effective. A woman above 50 is like Russia - everyone knows where it is, but noone wants to get there...... //Staffay -------------------- Guitars: Ibanez AM-200, Ibanez GB-10, Fender Stratocaster Classic Player, Warmouth Custom Built, Suhr Classic Strat, Gibson Les Paul Standard 2003, Ibanez steel-string Amps: Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, Marshall JMP 2103, AER 60 Effects: BOSS DD-20, Danelectro Trans. There are many reasons why people want to become rock stars. Some do it for the money, some for the fame, some for girls, or attention, or just to have people around them. I believe it is better to find out what you really want, and not worry about getting there. If you are good, and act properly with people around you it will happen. If you aren't, well good luck

I think Ivan gave best answer. Someone will be famous someone not, but it's not the goal, it shouldn't be. We're all lucky having this wonderful hobby called "playing the guitar" Well said. You just can't force anything and being famous doesn't depend on the musician himself rather how his music influences other people. But we should have some ambition and faith in what we do (and general goal to be best at it) or we may not even get the chance at "fame"... -------------------- For GMC support please email support (at) guitarmasterclass.net
