Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hello Yash smile.gif

I don't believe I've met you before so - nice to meet you !

Ok, you've got the basic grasp of the timing. In some places you were a little early in shifting your fingers but nothing too bad.

If you watch my 1st video here about vibrato, it might help you in getting a better hand position which will help your fingers fret the strings better. Even though you don't need to concern yourself with vibrato at this stage, my explanation about the angle of the hand may help you smile.gif

Hey Yash! Congrats on your first REC take my little friend smile.gif I observe general good timing, aside from a little slip at second 0.23.

You should focus on learning how to execute vibrato using your wrist and also...a bit of a check on the guitar tuning before recording would be very good!

Nice effort on the first REC take Yash - let's discuss further in your mentoring thread mate smile.gif

Hi Yash! It's cool to find your take here at the REC! You did a good effort on this one. As Ben said, your timing is the first thing to improve. You have to practice this one at a slower tempo and concentrate on playing the notes very tight. Once you achieve it, you can start thinking on adding some vibrato in the correct way. Check that lessons that Ben suggested!
Keep on working hard friend! smile.gif

Good job! The main thing is timing issue! I can suggest to practice it using a metronome and do it at a very slow tempo!
It might take some time but I am sure you will get it! Also I have a Rhythm corner that you can visit I have a lot of exercises there that will help you develop your timing!

Great effort ! I also notice minor timing issue which is relatively easy to solve - slow down backing track and attempt to concentrate on the bit ! Turn on a metronome and start slowly, you will notice a difference very quickly...
