Welcome smile.gif

There's no problem to use an acoustic guitar for the electric guitar lessons. Infact, if you practice them on acoustic now, they will get alot easier to play when you get an electric! smile.gif

I don't know much about beginner guitars, but I think Squier got some good and cheap beginner sets. Also I think Epiphone might have something aswell.

This one for instance: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Squ...-Amp?sku=513287

Yep Robin's right smile.gif
You realy dont need an electric to practice those lessons unless it's soloing. Also playing on a acoustic now will really build your finger strength and once you get an electric,it will seem much easier to play. smile.gif You can get a Fender Squire guitar for $99.99 at musicians friend or even cheaper at Ebay. There the bullet series, and it's fine for a beginnner and made of good wood compared to some other's that are really just Korean Garbage.

Cort X-2 electric with 24 frets and 2 humbucker's dark Blue
Kustom DFX100 With Celestion Speakers, and thats it now (lol)

My Advice
Figure out what you want in life early.Wether it's the girl, the partying
or mastering the guitar.Adding any 2 together will get in your way.
