The results are finally in 
The instructors have taken a look at the entries,
and in no particular order the top 5 are the entries by:
1. ZakkWylde
2. KaznieNL
3. Alexiaden93
4. Zen
5. Deleted

I voted for KaznieNL. The reason I did is because I have the same problem. There are so many great lessons out there I just don't know where to look.
I loved the idea of the chat thing that Zen mentioned. Recorded chats is great!
ZakkWylde's idea is good, i'm just leery, is it going to affect the rest of us? Can I still have the payment method that I use now? Will we be getting the same great deal? I like the way it's set up - i budget. Or maybe I don't understand the full aspect of it. I like the variety personally.
Deleted had one of the coolest ideas mentioned! But I don't have an iPhone, so it wouldn't do me any good. I'm with Verizon...
Alexiaden93 had a creative and great idea as well about the competitions. They are fun!
There were a lot of great ideas they weren't chosen as well, but I know it will all work out for the good of the community. That's what this competition is all about; improving GMC.

Paal, could you please tell us which of the ideas we (the top 5 ) have uploaded are selected? That's weird english : P haha I mean, I have uploaded 2-3 ideas, but which one did you guys select? if you can tell that just quick , then I'll make a summary to put in here so everyone who wants to vote can do that quicklly

I agree with Adrian. Front Page link should be implemented.
I don't want to post where my vote went, but I think all the ideas that are here on the topic are very good, and if any of these were implemented, GMC would become a better site. Good luck everybody.

I am glad to see I made it to the finals. Maybe there should be a small summary on what each idea was about instead of having to browse through a whole thread with long post...
Oh and if I should come up on the third place, I will give my price to the 4th winner - I have no real use for Daddario Strings!

I vote for Zen. GMC students can greatly benefit from being allowed to share their ideas with others through SI lessons. This will help recording, playing and theory, as you need to be perfectly aware of what you are playing and how you are playing when teaching others.

This is a cool surprise .. All ideas are great and would love to see ALL of them implemented.
Thanks Alex .. Your idea is far far better in this comp ... A GMC window in the outside world on youtube is very much needed.

That's alright =) By the way, could you kind of copy the finalists' WHOLE idea onto the main post so that nothing is left out ?
Would be fair in my opinion, or maybe a Wiki-article containing all the ideas so that people won't have to navigate through an entire upload-thread...

I have a new suggestion REC takes should be graded within three days time haha, I'm always super exited about my REC takes, and it sometimes takes 3 weeks to get a grade!!!!! 3 weeks waiting for 5 minutes work!

bump! Shouldn't this be stickied out in the front page?? Commong GMC admins, you need to be hyper active. Change the homepage content to reflect latest (featured) sections. Don't be so lazy. If you need any help, I can do that. The 4 part harmony has been there for long (sorry Pedja) but really, it looks like a dead homepage for me because its changing very slowly.

Come on guys, where are the summaries? I can't really tell which idea made it to the finals, as most of the "final five" (any BSG fans here??) submitted more than one idea.

Must say it was very hard choice as I had to choose between 3 entries that caught my attention (Alex, Zakk and Zen) but in the end I made my choice. I hope after voting is completed that GMC management will try to implement all those ideas to improve the site and community in future!

Funny, I couldn't vote on just any contestant or decide which of those dictated to the list was best.
So, I took out my Monopoly board and rolled the dice - first roll for 1-5 (6 being the wild-card), and
the first roll made my decision. Right? Man am I lucky! Therefore I say, not every vote counts despite
what they say here in the US of A. ANARCHY in the U..SA..K... I know what I want but don't
know how to get it. I wanna deploy... don't you get it? My Vote was DELETED for senate.

I could start and argument about how I could have won with more time but instead I'll congratulate every winner and hope that every idea will be implemented to improve GMC!
(Anyone wanna buy a Chorus Pedal? I don't play much clean so I will propably end up selling my second place prize sooner or later...)
