I was realy disapointed from the sound of my Fender Stratocaster (made in mexico)
Iwas loking for somthing more heavy so i can expirience metal and heavy rock
So i went to a local music shop played on few models and i was realy impressed
from the Epiphone Les paul custom plus it have the sound im looking for so i took it smile.gif
After few days of playing it i noticed its harder for me to shred with it and play fast solos
Is it the guiatr or im just need to get used to it a little more :S ?
If you can tell me please do and any imformation or a review about the guitar are welcome

There might be some mistakes in my spelling
Ignore that! tongue.gif

Well, the neck is probably a bit fatter, and the bridge is a bt different than most fenders/ibanez guitars.

Cause of the different angle on the neck, and the curved top, the bridge is much higher than on other guitars.

It just takes some time to get used to.

I also think the neck is the reason. Some people are comfortable with that neck and can play crzay fast stuff that sounds really good. You might need some time to get used to it.

+1 on the neck. It's probably thicker than your strat.

I was used to play on my Sg, now that I got a Strat I feel more comfortable because the neck is thinner.

It's the difference in neck and also probably the difference in scale lenght that makes it take a while to get used to.
Stratocasters have wider frets so to speak than les paul models.

It's all a matter of getting used to it.

A Les Paul neck is not designed for fast playing, and yes it can be tough work. I owned an epiphone les paul which is a fantastic guitar with great tone but it didnt make for a good shred guitar. smile.gif

Possibly the action is a bit higher, and you haven't got used to your new guitar enough to be able to play fast. Give it some time and adjust the guitar, and it will work nicely smile.gif

Hey man, sounds like a great axe!

I have a LP 08 and can play my faster licks on this no question, its all down to preference and i have big awkward hands and the neck feels just right to me.

As for not playing fast on a LP, anyone remember Slash or Gary Moore? Not shredders but speed demons nonetheless!!

The solo Slash did on "Don't Damn Me" has the most amazing and aggressive run ever!!

Also, there is someone called Zakk that is supposed to be kinda quick....
