Hi guys,

After being kind of busy the last weeks and not having the chance to play guitar as much as i would have liked, i finally have a few days off and grabbed my guitar to continue where i stopped.

To come back in the right spirit, something rock can not be wrong i have thought, so i tried Muris great "Rocking Tune" intermediate level Lesson and i'm quite happy about this take. It's maybe not perfect, but i like the aggressive, straight forward sound of this take and i decided to share this one with you.

This take is in 120 bpm and i have modified a few notes here and there.

I hope you like it and i'm of course curious about everybody's opinion.

Thanks ..

Awsome dude, great vibrato and feel, there where very few timing issues but its really minor details, you nailed it with your own touch, good job smile.gif

Hi Siggum, thank you for pointing out the timing issues .. could you please tell which parts you have noticed being off timing? This would help me to work on this ... Thanks!

Sure man, but notice i said minor so its not like you made any huge bloopers laugh.gif between 14-17 secs, your a little ahead of the beat, same with 21-23 secs, nothing to worry about though its minor, and the rest is played super tight.

That was GREAT!! I loved the way you handled your bends and vibrato. Your tone was also very nice.

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato

That was really good! smile.gif

Nice vibrato and feel.
Some minor timing-problems though, well.. not sure i will call it timing, it's more like you need to just tighten the playing up a bit on those sections Siggum mentioned.

Thank you Trond, yes .. it has to be more tight. With 16th notes at 120 bpm i reach my limit when it comes to alternate picking. I do a lot of exercises in alt. picking and i feel it becomes more solid, but i don't manage to gain some speed. Speed is not my main goal, but when i play on my limits it will not be tight of cause. That bugs me since a while..
Your Picking Exercise lesson is part of my practice routine as it's kind of straight 16th notes, with some 16th triplet's here and there. Hope this will improve my right hand. I will ask some further question in your board about picking .. get prepared smile.gif

Thanks Juan .. it would be great if Muris will have the time to listen to this take, but first of all he should have a great time in London. I get some great advices from you guys as well ..

Thank you Pablo, UncleSkillet and Nick ..

Excellent work man!

This is what i am talking about when i say you need to have attitude in your playing. Sure from a critique standpoint there are some issues, but.... from a listeners standpoint they would never notice! When you play with attitude like that it comes across and makes you tap your foot and be like....ahhh yah rip it dude!

Keep it up man you have alot of attitude in your playing, i love it!
