Rock Essentials #1, Lesson By Darius Wave |

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Cool lesson, I tried to get the tone as close as I could and practiced this one to work on changing chords in time. It's been a while since I made a video, so the REC nerves were back a bit. I have a bit more time these days, so hope to be recording a bit more. Thanks Darius for the lesson! -------------------- |

Hi Yoncopin!
Great to see a new take from you!! I think that your work here is very good. Considering what you said about REC nervous, I can imagine that you could do it even better! I only note that some of the single note parts could sound cleaner, and that there is some small room to improve your timing and dynamics, but nothing really serious, this is a very consistent take. Your tone is very close to Darius, but his guitar is louder and has a bit more presence in the mix. There is a "stereo" effect in his take that seems to be done later in the mix. That's what makes it sound bigger. Ok mate, I hope to see more takes from you! It's an 8! -------------------- My lessons

Nice!!! Your tone is killer and matches very well. The best part for me is your use of two finger vibrato on the chords. It's very controlled and deliberate as it should be. You keep a very good sense of groove through the entire thing. I enjoyed your entire performance. I don't give these out often but I'm calling it a 9 from me
