Hey guys! I'm happy to say that I received my new machine!! It's been a while since my old computer was giving me lots of trouble with video editing and mixing audio. Hd videos, better and heavier plug ins were too much for her.

The new one spects are: PC Intel Core I7 3770 + 1TB + 8GB (Ram) + Geforce 2gb

This is the original publication but I added the Geforce..

Attached Image

I'm now installing everything on it, connected via HDMI to my lcd Tv, so I'm still using the old one but I will start using it soon.

What computer are you using nowadays?

Nice new PC, have fun! Great processor, I can confirm that. I would of suggested memory to be 8GB - 1600MHz CL7 or CL9 (rather than 1333MHz), but that's just my ideal gaming optimisations (less could bottleneck, however any more is a waste of cash and won't show more than 1% performance instead). Adding the external graphics card was a smart choice, it's the biggest bang for your bucks. In the future perhaps a small 64-128GB SSD cache to use on top of the HDD (with Intel Rapid Storage / Smart Response Technologies) - again that's just me removing any possible bottleneck.

I'm a hardcore PC gamer, so my PC specs are all focused towards that:

G1 Sniper 3 Motherboard
Intel Core I7 3770 CPU - 3.90GHz (i5 is actually optimal for gaming, but i7 allows for more multitasking, etc)
8GB - 1600MHz DDRAM3 Memory
Nvidia GTX 680 - 2GB Graphics card
Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD sound card (only Sound Blaster card I would recommend)
5.1 Surround speakers
2TB Western Digital Black Edition 64MB cache / 7200RPM HDD
128GB OCZ Vector SSD

Completely tweaked and optimized.
All games running on Nvidia GeForce Experience recommended settings (high to ultra)
Windows Experience Index overall 7.8 out of 7.9 (graphics 7.9/7.9), HDD was originally 5.9 till SSD boosted to 7.8.

I have yet to get this Aquatop Display for it and relive my childhood in the bath, heh jokes but it's crazy:

Awesome machine mate! Thanks for the suggestions! I basically use mine for composing, mixing and editing HD video so I think that it's enough by now. But be sure that having this machine make me want to at least try some advanced games. biggrin.gif

Uh, it should work as a spaceship - was it custom built or it was an already made machine?

It should be more than enough for what you need/want, have some fun with it too. Not a bad price for it either considering what you got. That includes the graphics card price?

Congrats!! Fine specs smile.gif Should handle anything you throw at it. I"m using a large LED TV as my main monitor as well smile.gif I noticed that folks in studios/post production shopts were starting to use large formate LCD/LED television instead of computer monitors and it struck me as a great idea for music/vid production. LOGIC and FINAL CUT PRO look GREAT @ 1920x1080 IMHO and you can actually read all the tiny/little text in the pallettes and windows smile.gif

Some folks really need super high resolutions, I"m just not one of them. smile.gif I have not use for that at all. But hey that's just me smile.gif I got a 47 inch LED TV for $350 US and it makes a killer main monitor. If you are planning on doing publishing, or lots of photoshop, then a high res monitor is a good idea. I use my iMac built in monitor for anything like that which isn't much.

These ones are custom built, but as you can see the article, I took the one that they were publishing and just changed the graphic card.

yeah, I have my TV close to the computer so I could use it but in the future (as my girlfriend uses these one also for graphic purposes) we would like a good / big monitor.
