Tell me what you think, will ya? smile.gif

The sound somewhat decreased in quality when put on youtube. Don't know why unsure.gif

Did make some mistakes around that part, but couldn't be bothered to do yet another take.

The scale is just a phrygian major scale. More precisily a D phrygian major.

I think you did fairly well man. There are some timing issues thats what really stood out to me. A few of pitch bends but overall i think you did a great job.

The thing i think i like most is that this is a really long track, but you manged to vary your phrases enough to not repeat yourself much at all. Which takes alot of concentration and a good deep bag of licks to dig into.

I love your tone, it fits the track good and you didnt go crazy with notes, i have heard alot of people improv over that track who just wacka noodle the whole thing. You showed good restraint in that department with a few well placed tricky licks.

Keep it up man!

Daniel

Thanks, I appreciate the comments!

About the bends - yeah, I know I kinda went over the edge on some of those. At some points I wanted to bend about 1½-2 semitones up, but my hands were too sweaty due to the heat here, so I had to just give up on that, and then I just tried to do some strange Vai-esque bends. laugh.gif

Normally I only get bad critique on my tone! laugh.gif So I geuss that's a plus for once, getting positive feedback smile.gif

Thanks for the comment. Answered this somewhere else:

"I bought the guitar off Ebay. It is actually nothing special. The brand is called "Wolf", but I cannot really find anything about it on the Internet. The guitar along with some other models were made for the Frankfurter musikmesse. So it's a kind of a "one of a kind" model, as far as I'm aware. Maybe they were produced by also, but they were somewhat sold on auctions on Ebay by www.hk-instruments.de." smile.gif

Nice licks mate, it doesn't sound too structured if you know what I mean, but it does sound good. Great axe as well smile.gif

Yeah, I am somehow aware of the structure thingie. I think it's just due to lack of experience. As it's just mostly improvised, I don't think too much of structure - that however is something I believe will come in time!

Thanks for watching! smile.gif

Actually it's not an Ibanez. I do want the Reb Beach model though. It's on my "To get"-list

But I'll tell you what - you share your rythmwork secrets, and I tell you ...ehr... I'm not sure I have a lot to offer! rolleyes.gif

Thanks for watching, man!

There's a little of rough edges, I geuss, which could be polished a lot, so that's what I'll hopefully be doing these last three days of my holiday.
