BINGO!! I knew you could do it smile.gif Well played! This type of pattern can work on any scale. It's a great way to make scale shapes sound more interesting and a bit more shreddy. Try it on other scales for kicks!! Try it in a solo backing on youtube and see what you think! you got this one. You just..
LEVELED UP!!!

Another thing so you know how my mind works, I had a tab book once, I was trying for ages to shuffle my fingers to play various triads, (I didn't know they were triads then, they were given different chord names in the TAB), I was getting in a right old tangle, I put the book down, picked it up a few months later and tried again for a few weeks, LIGHT BULB MOMENT! I realised that I could play them by just holding an E shape bar chord and either strumming the first three strings, the middle three string or the three bass strings in whatever position they were to be found, I nailed that song in 5 minutes laugh.gif It was only a simple song, can't recall it now, but you get the idea of my weird brain tongue.gif

Take 1, bit of fret buzz, need to adjust truss a little wink.gif

Also, may I just compliment you on the technique. Your fingers stay pretty close to the fret-board the whole time!

Nice!!! I love this lick. It's a great way to work on a lot of things at once. Hand synch, muting, traverse, alternate picking, timing, etc. You got the pattern down very well. It's got a lot of repeats so it can be tricky. Not for you! Tore right through it!! Try it in a solo soon as possible!!! You got this one well in hand and you just..

LEVELED UP!!!!

Just noticed I skipped a note in the first slow run through. I'll do it again if you want me to smile.gif

NIIIIIIICCCEEEE!!!!!

This is damn impressive. I gotta say. Just amazingly well done. So well done in fact, that
!!!!!I've invited BEN to do a GUEST QUICK LICK!!!!

Yup. The STORM himself will bring the pain this Saturday as he brings you his very own QUICK LICK. This is the First EVER guest spot Quick Lick. After seeing this run, I know that we are in very capable. hands.

Notice the precision, the control, the confidence, the grace! First, a slow pass to show he knows where this crazy train is going. Then a brisk pass to show his sheer mastery of the lick. I"m really looking forward to your Guest Spot Ben!! You just...

LEVELED UP!!!!!!

I just noticed I had already done this one. I'm not sure if I'm missing one up untill this one somewhere.

Odd. Hmm. Well, you did a great job on it. This one is from 2019 so it's been here a while and it looks like I didn't grade it yet for some reason, yet the one right before it is brand new? Well, either way the lick is very well played. I really hope folks take moment to watch this one as they make it to this Quick Lick. You have really great form here. Your palm mute is perfect. You mute and don't lift or drift and still manage to burn through the lick at a blistering pace and keep your precision and timing spot on. Thanks for also using a second camera angle so that people can see your hand position. Putting on a clinic!!!!

you just..

Nice!! This is a great lick for working on speed and back and forth. It requires that you traverse pretty much non stop and never miss a beat or a note. You may notice a theme going at this point? It's about precision and pace. As long as you can keep precision, you can increase pace. In a solo, I"d go legato on most of this to be honest. But for a picking drill, it's quite good as written.

You've got this down!!

You just..

LEVELED UP!!!
