Hey Frederico!
This here is your thread I would like to start with a task that I derived from this very lesson that you have already recorded: can you please use power chords instead of single notes and record like that, that means that each single note in the lesson will be transformed into a power chord
What do you think? Let me know if it's clear and doable! I thought it would be a good challenge since you already know the melody and now you can work on transforming it into a rhythm
Cosmin
Ok i'll try this!
Looking forward to see a video
So every 5th would become a perfect fifth except for the B wich will become a diminished fifth? It doesn't sound very well
Hi Cosmin! This is not so simple for me, anyway this is the rec at 90 bpm, let me know! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfWPxcTHyEE&feature=youtu.be
Hey mate It sounds dead on!!! Good work! I can't see your left hand unfortunately, but out of what I can hear, everything is in place, aside from some spots where you probably got distracted a bit! Are you ready to move on to a more challenging piece?
yes i am
Ok I'm gonna try and learn this! Cosmin have you ever used the counting approach to learn rhythm? I'm trying to count and play at the same time 16th notes... does this approach may help me?
Wonderful!
Wonderful Cosmin and thank you very much! I'm gonna try this with my last assignement.
When I learnt to play the flute in school my teacher makes me tap the foot all the time when playing! Then I realize I was not tapping it as an expression of my inner clock but rather I want to "chase" the music I was playing. As a result I could'nt stay on time when I eventually put a metronome! Then i start to use only the metronome but without being 100% in tempo with that. Now i want to try to learn the assigment with couting first and only then use the metronome or backing track. What do you think cosmin?
Deal! Do you think the last assigment is a good place to start to learn this approach?
Hi Cosmin! this the piece at 112, i'm still working to get it at full speed. Looking forward to hear what do you think! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0iVzGeW3pKs&feature=youtu.be
Here it is! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocdnTa40GCQ&feature=youtu.be
Hey mate
As an overall, it is good, but you could clean it up a bit and become tighter. Also, you tend to lose a bit of balance - but just a tiny a bit in spots such as the passage beginning at 0:17
I say, polish it a bit more and then we can move forward!
All the gallop part is not tight enough?
Hi Cosmin! I've been very busy this month, i'm recording some stuff in studio... Despite that this is my take:

Let me know if we can proceed further!
Hey buddy - timing wise it's good, but the playing could be cleaner especially in the palm muting sections Around 01:08 there was a slight hesitation and the guitar seems to be out of tune.
I think that we can start working on a new one, for the sake of keeping things interesting, but you need to fix the things I suggested for this one. Also, lowering the gain a bit could help out with cleaning up your playing. What do you think?
Ok Cosmin!
Alright! How about this one?
http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Disturbed-Style-Riffing/
Focus on tightness and clean playing for this one - the tighter you are, the better it will sound
Ok Cosmin, i'm already on it! I've noticed that in the chorus you keep your right hand moving up and down, this is the part that come less natural to me.. Maybe i'll post this part once i learn to play it so you can give me your hint!
Hey Cosmin,
These are 2 takes at lower tempo, let me know what need to be improved! thanks!

Hey mate,
About the first recording:
You have great timing and you play very clean! That's an EXCELLENT plus Now, I would focus a bit on smoothening the vibrato as it seems a bit off and rushed at points and maybe checking the guitar's tuning - please make sure to check it every time before recording, ok?
Also, your left hand movements seem rather large - please focus on moving less, as this will definitely decrease the potential tension which would appear at high speeds.
The second recording:
Your picking technique seems very relaxed and in good timing, as well as with good dynamics - picking evenly, that is I would also focus on decreasing the movements as in the previous case!
Mate, thank you very much for these recordings - I think it's by far, the best way to work, because we can spot potential issues befire they become too complicated to fix Keep rocking!
Hey Cosmin,
These are other 2 takes this time at full speed. Hopefully i will improve them by the dead line, now i'll go one week in holyday!
Thank you for your suggestion! see ya!

Hi Cosmin, I tried to follow your advice and these are the results, not sure if it's better (but i hope so!)
Beginner Etude:

Alternate Picking Workout:

Let me know!

Hey there man! Welcome back to the thread
I've watched the vids and I must say that you are getting really close to having perfect takes!
In respect to the Beginner Etude:
- the open string pull off section in the beginning is a little shaky and there's a missed note around 0:44
The alternate picking workout - I think this one can go straight into the REC zone Great playing here mate!
Let me know what your thoughts are and I will recommend further practicing material, once we get the Alternate Picking Workout into the REC zone
Thanks Cosmin, I posted in the rec zone the alternate picking workout lesson:) Let sees how it goes!
Hey mate!
I'll go grade it right away In the mean time, please tell me what did you feel the most difficult thing out of these lessons was?
Thank you Cosmin! The most difficult thing it's timing when the bpm goes up
What do you think of learning some of these lessons?

http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/modal_madness_pt_4_5_string_patterns/
http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Bens-Land-Of-Legato/
i'm not planning to reach full speed in the alternate picking lessons but i will be happy with learning them at low speed..
Hey buddy
The lesson choice is a very good one, in respect to the purpose of getting them done at a lower tempo but as clean and articulated as possible! I would begin with Ben's lesson - this one is far from being an easy one but it can be done at full tempo. What do you say, shall we begin with this one?
You will bump into the tricky position switches with this one, while you need to keep a constant tempo, note length and maintain equal volume in each note
Ok Cosmin! I've begin to work on this one, i'll post something as soon as i can!
Ok Cosmin this is my first take at 70 bpm
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-fsZAz0o1w&feature=youtu.be
Let me know what do you think, in the mean time I'll continue working!
Hey buddy! I see you are on the precise track here
Now, you have good dynamics, in the sense that the notes sound even, but I'd like you to focus on moving your left hand fingers a little less away from the fretboard, keep a more steady timing - some notes sound a bit uneven and you tend to rush in the beginning. Also, when you shift the positions, there are certain unwanted noises here and there.
In conclusion, please take care to be attentive on the mentioned details and keep me in the loop as well
Ok i've grab the points, thanks!
Hi Cosmin, I'm trying to follow your advice! this is my last take:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGhsZzC6_t4&feature=youtu.be
Hey mate, I have listened to the take and I think there's progress, but there's still work to do on the timing - some notes sound a bit uncertain in terms of timing and there was a little slip somewhere at 0:17. In terms of dynamics, there is evenness in the notes! Good work here It's just a matter of a little more focused practice and this one can go to the REC
Keep rocking and keep me updated, please
Hi Cosmin! I'm continuing working on this one and i reached full speed :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQWB60I25Uk&feature=youtu.be
I'm aware of the timing problems here and there but i'm sure i can fix them with some other extra work
Hey mate!
This is not bad at all, but as you also pointed out - the timing problems are present and they need to be taken care of - see 0:24 for instance, that's a spot in which the timing issues appear.
I think that simply focusing on timing at this point, at a slower speed and then gradually raising the tempo until you reach the original one, while focusing on maintaining the tempo, would be the way to go Do we have a deal?
