MISSION 34 DEBRIEF

On a quick note, part B is just straight up and down, where part C is the up 3 down 1. However, since Part C is far more difficult you get credit for B. You have a GREAT stretch. Really good pinky control as well. Let's Debrief!!
MEDALS OF HONOR
PINKY POWER Killer use of the pink to reach and hammer the notes

TRAVERSE THE UNIVERSE Looking for string traverse without any unwanted notes/noise. BAM.

RETRO ACTIVE Non stop back and forth on the strings without missing the strike or finger. Nice!

You ticked every box I was looking for.You just....

MISSION 35 DEBRIEF!!

MEDALS OF HONOR

*PINKY POWER ON TURBO: This is a complex way to run a scale but it works in any and every scale once you understand the pattern.

*PACE STEADY AS A CLOCK: It's easy to play certain bits quick, then tricky bits slow. It results in a very stuttery/uneven playing style which lacks precision and control. Good news here is that you don't suffer from this at all!!!

*CLEAN AS A WHISTLE: This is a tricky pattern and requires string traverse and muting and synch. You may not realize it, but you are now using a HUGE amount of technique all at once. Score!!!
You just..

You are on a roll Soldier!!!! This one is particularly impressive. It's a tricky bit of finger dancing and you nailed it!!! Let's Debrief!!

MEDALS OF HONOR

*AGRESSIVE STYLE: Points for shear aggression on this one Soldier! It's built for speed and you ripped it a new one!!!

*PICKING: Second thing I'm looking for on this one is Pick Articulation. Not only did you tear through the Mission, you articulated the pick quite well. Score!

*TECHNIQUE: Lastly, I'm looking at overall technique, Solid palm mute, precise picking, not rushing or lagging, BAM!

In short you just ...

MISSION 37 DEBRIEF
NICE!!! Very well fought Soldier. Also, still dig that IBBY!! You clearly have no problem playing these slow or briskly. You have developed some very fine skills and it's great to see. let's debrief!!

MEDALS OF HONOR

SYNCH SO TIGHT IT SHINES: First thing I'm looking for here is hand synch. Your hand synch is spot on slow and fast. You can play it at pretty much any speed and not lose synch. Also, your strikes are very certain and strong. Nice!

MUTE IT OR SHOOT IT Secondly, I want to see a good mute. On brisk licks, muting is critical. If you lose your mute, string noise enters the picture. Not a problem here. Your mute is strong and stable and you keep it centered. Great for here. Also, you have gotten a very good handle on picking while keeping your mute solid. Well done!

TICK TICK TOCK SHOOT THE CLOCK Lastly, I wanna see it tight! This is built to be tricky. All the back and forth is meant to allow your hands to miss a beat hear or there. Good news is you never miss a beat. Not once. Lots of back and forth. Easy to get it twisted but not!! Spot on.

You killed it and....

QUICK LICKS 38 DEBRIEF

Impressive work Soldier. You can play these slow or fast with no problem at all. I'm really impressed with your playing here. You are able to keep your precision even when you speed up. It doesn't get loose or sloppy. Many of the Missions to this point have focused on Picking. You are about to head in to the deep weeds where we start adding other techniques. I think you are more than ready. You are making great progress. I am really looking forward to your next chunk of vids!!

Let's Debrief!!!

MEDALS OF HONOR
PICKING FROM HELL!: Picking so go, it's nearly EVIL. Not a strike missed in the entire Mission. Picking is the first thing I"m looking for in this Mission and you KILLED IT.

HANDY SYNCHY! The second thing I need to see on this Mission is your hand synch. These drills are built to show any gaps in your synch. You've clearly spent time getting your synch under control Well done.

MUTE OR SHOOT! Lastly, I'm looking at your mute. These drills traverse every string, so there are plenty of chances to lose control of the palm mute and generate string noise. Not so here, you keep a great mute.

This is the LAST MISSION before you get your new CHEVRON on your badge. You've earned it to be sure!!

In short you just ....

LEVELED UP!!!

This is a tricky bit of playing and you have zero problem with it. Very impressive work Soldier. Let's Debrief!!

MEDALS OF HONOR
CLEAN AS GLASS: First thing I wanna see is how clean this gets played. Each strike is measured and even and strong. Nice!

SO TIGHT YOU COULD BOUNCE A QUARTER OFF OF IT: Second thing I want to see is tight handy synch. This lick doesn't work without it. Right/Left hand Synch is Spot On, Per usual!!

STILL STRONG Lastly I want to see good muting and no string noise. Your mute is solid as a rock!

Another Victory!

MISSION 40 DEBRIEF!!!
NICE!!!! This one requires everything you've learned so far. It's putting it all together. You have zero problem with it. I think you are more than ready for crazy bits that start heading your way after lesson 50. That's the halfway mark to triple digits. Only one person has ever made it past the 100 level barrier but I think you could do it with no problem. You clearly have spent time on your technique and it's paying off!! Let's Debrief!
MEDALS OF HONOR

LEFT HAND SKILLS THAT KILL. The first thing I look for in this mission is your ability to traverse. That's why we use every string. You did a great job of keeping your mute stable and not moving your right hand around. It's easy to get pulled in to moving the hand instead of just rotating the wrist.
RIGHT HAND SKILLS THAT KILLL Second thing I want to see if that you can synch your pick strikes to the left hand without any gaps/lag. Some folks get their strikes and non strikes mixed up and it's easy to hear when it happens. Not you! Nailed it.

THAT SYNCHING FEELING Lastly I need to see perfect hand synch. Any drift and it sticks out like a sore thumb! The good news is, you don't have any!! If there are gaps it's easy to spot. You have really good right left synch. NICE!!

You KRUSHED it and ..

MISSION 41 DEBRIEF!!

MEDALS OF HONOR

FINGER TRAVERSE: First thing I wanna see here is strong traverse skills. This lick requires you to traverse all the strings which is a way to test if you have the ability to traverse non stop. NICE!

PALM MUTE: You may have noticed that I"m always looking at the palm mute. It's the key to eliminating string onise. Keeping your hand planted while playing is a skill.

PICK ONCE HAMMER MANY: I have you play this lick struck and hammered. Your use of pick once, hammer many is very good and tightly controlled. Try the pick once hammer many on every scale you know. It's a great technique. Well done!

In short Solder, you just...

for a long time I did not upload anything...
such calm tracks seem a lot more complicated to me, because they are more emotional than metal tracks and therefore this improvisation is a bit bland. plus I felt a lack of cliches that I could apply for a melodic solo.the part with tapping seems is more to fill silence as for me.

This is exactly what I was looking for Soldier! The entire point of this is to give you some space to let you express yourself musically. If you are not used to playing a solo against ballads, this can be very challenging. I like your not choice and your technique is spot on. I can tell you've got the skills to solo over just about anything. I liked the hammering part quite a bit and felt it worked well.

This Debrief is a bit different in that it's more of a conversation than a bullet list. I really wanted to throw a backing at you to see what you would do with it. Many Soldiers never make it past this lesson. Some people are simply not comfortable playing a solo or playing a solo over a slow backing like this. It takes a degree of confidence in one's playing and an ability to make it sound musical which is the entire point of all of this work. Your solo has feeling, it's musical, very listenable. SCORE!!!!!
You just...
LEVELED UP!!!!

in this time some problems with noise is appears,i didn't notice that while record.next problem is overall sound, especially in 44 take,I guessed that it would be so and because record a few times in row,i will ask someone to record my play in future to try.

First off YOU KRUSHED the first part of 43 and it's a pretty tricky bit. Amazing that you played that well and that smooth at that speed during constant string traverse and a really twisty pattern. NICE.

The problem comes in part 2. You start off very strong and I was actually a bit shocked at the sheer speed of it. About half way through, you stumble a bit but recover nicely. I think this lick is well within your ability, which is saying a LOT as this is also a very tricky Lick. You may have just pushed the speed a pinch outside of your ability. If this were Quick Licks, it wouldn't be an issue. Being able to play it at all would get you a badge. This is bootcamp, where precision matters and badges are more about precision than anything else.

I think your noise level at least on the first mission is just fine. Recording yourself is perfectly ok for me. Your vids are always good quality, I can hear everything and I can see both your hands and hear the metronome. Can't ask for more.

Try PART II one more time just a pinch slower, you can probably play it almost as fast as that, but just back off a pinch to allow for the difficulty of the lick. This isn't a shred lick after all, it's a finger twister designed only to test your ability to keep hand synch and stay in time.

Impressive work Soldier!!! I'm actually shocked how fast you are able to run that inversion drill. I was going to badge you up based on the first slow version. Then you ramp it up to CRAZY speed and keep it together and clean. Nice.

Let's Debrief!!!
MEDALS OF HONOR

TRICKY PICKING: This was is built to test your picking. It's really meant to be too complex to shred. You shred it anyway. Score.
SPIFF SYNCH: Given how tricky the picking bits are, some folks drift synch. Not you. Double Score.
TRAVERSE GALORE: The entire Mission is based on tons of string traverse. This gives the hand plenty of chance to show where it's weak. Good news. You don't seem to have any weak spot. Triple Score.

Most Impressive.

Very much Enjoyed what you did with the notes and the riffing. You play with confidence and style which is what all of this is really about. in the end, all of these drills are designed to allow you to have the technical skills you need in order to express yourself as a musician without breaking a sweat. You are well on your way. You don't show any tension on your face when playing tough licks and your hands are staying nice and loose which is key. Keep it up!! Well fought. You just.

MEDALS OF HONOR

RIGHT HAND CONTROL: First thing I need to see in this Mission is good right hand control. Without it, the tapping bits especially fall apart. You have very good right hand articulation here.

FINGER POWER: The second thing I want to see if FINGER POWER. If you lack finger power, you won't be able to do two hammer ons in a row which are required in this one. You have very good power and each hammer on sounds equal in volume. SCORE!!

PRECISION IN TRAVERSE: Lastly I wanna see good TRAVERSE skills. This is why I have you run over every single string and back. You don't stumble, you don't skip, you run it smooth and clean.

Impressive work soldier. You have all the skills needed to go all the way!!!

so,let's continue. In last time I began to have problems with live sound, the table vibrates from low and transfers all this to a cheap mic while I waiting for a tripod.
in ex.47 I could not stretch my hand to 12 frets, but by the time of recording there are already small successes.
And I did not quite understand the essence of exercise 50, if it is not for working off the right and left hands separately
Timing:

48 - 2:01
49 - 3:40

NICE!! 46 has that single string lick that really seems to be a challenge for most folks. The timing on the lick is a bit strange but you NAILED IT. Also, you did some killer improv at the end! Let's Debrief!!

PRECISION: Playing with precision is the only goal of this entire affair and it's great to see you playing with more and more precision each time you do a mission.

NOISE CONTROL: Despite using some distortion, I don't hear any unwanted string noise. Very well done on that. Adding gain makes any extra string noise show up and requires muting to be on point!

DEXTERITY: You play with precision and dexterity making fine use of the weakest finger, THE PINKY! Developing PINKY POWER is just critical.

In short you just...

LEVELED UP!!!

I decided not to polish my takes,to be honest and to see my main problems that I'm struggling with at the moment. It is a dome noise on thin strings and skip some notes whan i play at fast and moderate speed.

I must apologize for MISSION 50. I re read it and it's just not very clear so I re wrote it and did a new piece of guitar pro for it. The point of Mission 50 is to get you to use Hammer ons and pull offs to traverse through all of the strings. Also, I want you to try to pull your left thumb off of the neck which I call "thumbless" technique. I've reduced Mission 50 to a single drill as it's plenty difficult to do just this one drill and the other bits were just making it confusing. So here is the Guitar Pro and Tab image. You can use the one you already recorded or try this one. Either way is ok smile.gif
