> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Guys! I've taken your comments on board about the vibrato etc. Hope this attempt is better!

This is a very good take. Maybe on some places a bit uncertain for me, but sounds good.
When you do vibratos, you always pull on the string a bit. At vibrato try to keep the note and it will sound cleaner.
Well done. smile.gif smile.gif

Good feel and groove but the execution could be tighter. Try a bit stronger and better controled vibrato. Sometimes it sounds like you're nearly out of tune but proper vibrato would fix that. Good work anyway.

Also - your sound is very dry. If you add an effect such as delay or reverb I think it would raise the over-all impression of your playing! (of course we try to disregard this when grading you). Keep up the serious work!

Very good take! I think your vibrato needs more work, it needs to be more secure and precise (from the wrist).
