Custom24 - C Phrygian Solo |
|
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hey man, I know this is your first REC upload and I'm glad to see you getting involved with the program. If you don't mind, have a read through of the guidelines found HERE We need you to set up a poll so the Instructors can grade your take.
If you are unsure on how to do it, the word Poll is a clickable link that will guide you to a brief tutorial. I could do it for you but that's not going to help you figure it out.. Cheers, Steve Edit: Also, could you provide a link to the original lesson This post has been edited by skennington: Oct 24 2009, 04:53 AM

Good take
As you wrote, there are some mistakes here and there, as example some notes on the alternate picking runs are not clear. If you fix these little errors, you can get a perfect take. -------------------- ::: Main Gear ::: Guitars: Washburn N4 Vintage | Washburn N2 | Washburn WI67Pro | Washburn WG-587 | Washburn EA20B Amps: Laney GH50L (head) | Laney GS410 & GS212IE (cabinets) | Rocktron PROGAP Ultra (rack preamp) | Rocktron Velocity 150 (power amp) | Marshall VS230 (combo) FXs: Rocktron Intellifex + custom pedalboard (check my video demo) Other: Shredneck | Intellitouch PT10 tuner Picks: Esseti Picks Software & Recording Gear: Cubase 4 | Overloud TH1 | Mackie Onyx 400F | EZdrummer | Korg Pandora PX4D ------------------------------------------------------- myspace.com/jerryarcidiacono Check out my video lessons and instructor board! |

Hey! Congrats of your first REC entry! You did a very good job in many parts excepting the fast licks where there are some notes that don't ring. I recomend you to isolate those licks and practice as exercises with metronome. Another thing that would help is to check alternate picking exercises lesson in the GMC archive. Keep you takes coming!

Very good take! I think your playing was in general good, but a bit sloppy. Some notes came out weak, and I think you can play tighter than this.
