Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Comments : I know my recording equipment/software sucks, until I can afford to get new stuff.
But, Mama always said 'You do the best you can with what you've got.' Yes, I am the Forrest Gump
of GMC - I'm good at putting my foot in my mouth sometimes, too. mellow.gif Life is like a book of
notes, you never will progress until you try, try, and try again. smile.gif

PS. The second guitar in the background is part of the backing
track provided, not me playing against the original example.

Wow, such a nice surprise!!

You had few wrong notes tho, you mixed thirds within couple of shapes
but that shouldn't be huge problem, you can fix that easily.
However there is one thing that concerns me here.
You tend to use bare with your index finger for both D and B strings
but it real life it simply doesn't work for this lesson,
you have to fret (hammer on) every first note on B string and play it with the pick after that.
No bare, pure fretting all the time.
Good effort tho, keep it up. smile.gif

Good take! I didn't remember this amazing lesson! You did a great job but I also note some wrong notes and some (very) little timming issues.

I think the comments that Gabe and Muris made are neat so I only like to add that you could improve a little your sound.
Perhaps if you will record the sound with an air take you could lower the backing.

Keep the good work biggrin.gif

Very good take! As everyone said, there are some minor timing problems, and the sound is a bit bad. Other than that it is good.
