Not sure if any of you guys have checked these out on YouTube but Wildwood produce loads of guitar demo's all delivered by Greg Koch.

Not only is Greg's playing absolutely amazing but that man has a sense of humor to die for...

Metal Poppins on one of his outtakes vids is so funny I was in bits..

Check them out..

Original lesson: 80's Pop Rock Solo by Guido Bungenstock

Time to fess up - I just fall in love with everything that Guido plays! Love this tune - maybe it's my age.. or maybe it's Guido's great music, phrasing, note choices and killer vibrato... I've set myself a mission to work through all of his lessons and this is the first. Level 4 - yes, easy to play - well I suppose the notes are but that's not the point.. Devil's in the detail as always.. Hope it's not too painful on the ears.. Si

Original lesson: Linear Shred Zone by Ben Higgins

Having locked myself away for the last few months and subjected myself to Todd's Alternate Picking torture I thought I'd try and have a go at this. Lots to improve here but the fact I'm posting this is testament to the improvement. I always imagined but never thought I'd ever be able to do anything like this! Simon

Hi all,

Pushed the button on a KPA recently and finally got to have a play with it this weekend.

Got to say I'm very impressed so far. I quickly profiled my Ecstacy for a test and the thing sounded and felt pretty much identical!

I've never really used 'digital' amp sims before (other than trying out a VST for recording stuff for my GMC submissions) and was more than a little bit apprehensive but this thing really does seem to live up to the hype. Still got lots of testing to do but I get the feeling that dragging heavy amps around will largely become a thing of the past for me although I'll never sell any of them!

Despite having a great rig, the challenges of having no setup time, no stage space and having to often deal with less than helpful engineers had left me somewhat despondent when it came to getting decent sound at gigs and I think the KPA will be a big step forward here. Not only does it sound/feel authentic as an amp but the effects are sweet (and getting better) and I reckon that I'll get by with getting rid of most of my up-front pedals and the stuff I usually run in the loop. Add to that the performance options for building set lists and the fact that I'm not tied to a single amp make this thing killer for me.

The new digital world beckons me forward..

Regards,

Si

Hi,

Didn't know where to post this..

Has the video payer for lessons been changed at all?

I'm sure I used to be able to scrub forwards and backwards, set markers etc. but none of this works now..

If I try and drag the play position marker (to listen to something again) it doesn't move (I just get a visual indicator I have clicked on it).

Appreciate any insights as it's a bit of pain - have to reselect the lesson and let it play from the beginning again..

I'm using Safari on a Mac btw..

Si
