Indie Rock III: Pixies, Lesson By Gabriel Leopardi |
|
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi mad! This is a very good take! You learnt it perfectly. I just have some comments about this that maybe can help. First, you timing could be even more precise, the issue is small and it mostly appears in the power chords, but you should fix it to get a top level take. You could also work a bit more on expression and intensity, (and maybe groove?), check out my take and you will notice, for example in the last melodies how I use intensity to give everything more feeling. An finally, Pixies tone is more fuzzy and with a bit of overdrive.. you tone is different, by the way the tone itself is good!
I hope that this comments help, it's a 9 for me! -------------------- My lessons
