My band Hypermass recorded our first demo a couple of months back, and I thought that this would be a great place to get proper feedback! When you create music, it's really hard (for me anyways) to put yourself in the audience's shoes, so I often get kind of lost in my own mind when writing something. With that being said, the band consists of 5 people all contributing equally much, so it's not a solo project with a backing band! Anyway, I would really appreciate some constructive feedback on this! smile.gif

As of genre, I'm not really sure, something Metal. Please let me know what genre we play!

This is the first song off our 4-track demo, and it's also the one we're most satisfied with, so here you go biggrin.gif

Cynic used to be one of my all-time favorite bands. Their debut, Focus, was the album that really changed my life and got me out of the whole simplistic riff-based metal I was listening to at the time, and got me into Jazz/Fusion/Prog. Their blend of Death Metal and Jazz Fusion is still to this day one of the most awesome things I've ever heard.

Traced in Air from 2008 shifted more towards progressive rock, but still retaining that old-school Cynic vibe. I loved it! But this new album, entitled "Kindly Bent to Free Us", is completely different.

I don't really know how to feel about this one. I know that Paul Masvidal is a very spiritual person and will do exactly what he feels, but I'm afraid to say I think the old Cynic is too far gone. I'm kind of speechless, as I don't really know if I like it or not. Here's the title track, tell me what you guys think of it! smile.gif

Hey everyone, me and my band State of Delirium is currently in a competition where the 5 bands who gets the most votes gets to have a "Band Battle" next saturday, in which the winner gets 10.000 NOK (approx. 1750 USD) in studio time and get to play on the same stage as GOJIRA and HATEBREED!

So if any of you are on Facebook, I would greatly appreciate it if you click this link and vote "State of Delirium". It will only take a second of your time smile.gif
