GMC Forum _ Uploads _ My First Ever Performance

Hey Guys... So Wendnesday I had my first performance. A friend of mine and I did a cover of My Immortal, acoustic version. I did guitar, she sang. And... here's the movie

Know I watch it back.. I know that our version goes faster and faster near the end And I look kinda boring.... but that's all for next time Enjoy.

BTW... She can sing xD

What a great performance !! Congrats on your first show Kaz!! The song is beautiful , I remember playing a cover of it with a band a long time ago!

Great first performance Kaz, you both look so calm and did a good job, where ya nervous? I would be. Ya guys really get into it about half way and looked like you enjoyed it.

Hey guys, thanks for the awesome response.

Well, when I was still at home i was a bit nervous, but then at school (where the performance was) The nerves went away, only to come back a minute before I had to get on stage

And... It's cool It's a great feeling to do what you love and then get a cheering audience!

Congratulations on your first performance ever which was really good! I liked the way you played: very smooth, correctly and changing the rhythms. Excellent! And you didn´t look boring. Every guitarist looks like this except if he´s Steve Vai!

BTW, the singer is very good, as well, she only has to take care of her tone control. Pretty often she is too low or too high in the pitch! Anyway, fantastic voice.

Yes true, but for some reason when we were doing the performance it seemed better.... My dad (in the crowd) said the same, but it's probably just because of the atmosphere when playing live.

Sure, the pressure when playing live is always there and it´s surely stressful. Believe me, with time your fear this feeling passes by. I personally have not much problems when I have to play live, now, but in the past I used to be very excited. One time at the National Championship of Judo, I vomitted.

I'm still excited when going on stage, the bigger the stage and more crowd, the bigger the excitement. When I start not to get excited anymore, I would get worried about it
