Hi,

I have a PODxt Live and I have a nice metal tone but the tapping on it is very weak. Does anyone have any recommedations on what I should turn up or effect I should put on so it makes tapping alot more noticeable?

Thanks,

Rowan

first, i would recommend you to check some tapping lessons on GMC, since petter technique will help a lot

second,i would have four recommendation for you: turn the noise gate threshold down, add some compression, add midrange and some delay, and it should be easier wink.gif

be careful though, reducing the treshold and adding compression will add lots of noise to your sound.

but in gearbox, the noisegate cuts so much tone that i prefer using a Boss ns-2, not sure if its the same for pod

Good luck in your tapping quest my friend laugh.gif

Put an Overdrive effect in front of the ampmodeling, there is a tubescreamer copy in the oid xt.
Set the gain on the od on 0, the level on max and the tone about half

Add some more compression, little by little until you get a nice sound to practice with.

I would say bridge pickup since has more highs and attack by its location.
Well, unless you have humbucker in neck and single in bridge. wink.gif
