hey gmc!!
I am looking at 2 Vox amps.
The Vox DA20, and the Vox AD30VT-XL. And I don't know which is better blink.gif

Ill post links of the amps.
The DA20 - http://www.voxamps.co.uk/daseries/da20.asp
The AD30VT - http://www.voxamps.co.uk/valvetronix/ad15-30-50-100vt.asp

I can't really test them because I live in Auckland (New Zealand,North Island) and there isn't a guitar store or amp store
that gets Vox amps. The only shops that have them are in the South Island. mad.gif

I don't know that much about guitar amps, so your opinions/advice are extremely appreciated!!

Thanks laugh.gif

Not sure Cherio as I've not come across the DA20.

What do you want to use the amp for though - home/bedroom/practicing/jamming/gigging? And what type of music?

Cheers,
Tony

Hay Cherio...I had A Vox Valvetronix Ad30VT XL for all of a day...It sounded great...It's a Hyrid Amp that has a Tube and goes off of imulated Amp's... ( or so I was Told ) , After I got it home ( After the Salesmen at Guitar Center talked me into it ) ....... I read a bunch of reveiws on it....... Most people liked the sound had great tone and was easy to use......... But alot of complaints where that it broke after a year or two.....I know there is a Reveiw on here in the gear forum from someone who loves his...... I ended up going back to Guitar Center and getting what I realy wanted... Line 6 Spider III 75w combo Amp....... but thats just me...for what I wanted and need right now it's perfect for me..... But I do some more reserch on the Vox........ Hope this helped a little... D.O.G.

Hey guys,
I was told that the Vox DA20 is actually a new Vox model, I think maybe thats why we couldn't find any reviews on it?
It was actually my mates birthday yesterday and he got a DA20 (just my luck... I get to try it out laugh.gif ). His previous amp was a Marshall 15watt with reverb delay and flange. Compared to the DA20, the DA20 had a much nicer tone, and the effects were even better. The effect I disliked on the DA20 was the 'auto-wah'. It just sounded really... fake... Besides that, the amp sounded great.

I have made my decision...

THE DA20!! WOOT!

When the amp arrives, I'll post a review laugh.gif laugh.gif

Auto wah never sounds good. There is no such thing as an auto wah that sounds like a real wah, its basically an effect in itself seperate to wah, IMO.

yes I agree, I'm going to stick to my wah pedal, its nicer to be able to control the sound.
