GMC Forum _ Introduce Yourself ! _ My Second Time Joining Gmc.

Hello,
My name is Jeff Seaman. I currently reside in the Seattle area of Washington state. I am a 47 year old medical student going through a career change.
A highly stressful and unstable life has distracted me from a lifelong desire to play the guitar. I have tried to start learning the guitar on several occasions in my life. The last time I tried to begin was over two years ago when I joined GMC for a short period of time. That was at the beginning of an intense and time consuming medical program. I was enjoying the lessons but my time became fully consumed with my studies. Although I have not yet completed the program, a diagnosis of cancer has changed my perspective. My summer this year will probably involve some painful procedures, but I am hoping the perspective change is what I need to actually dedicate the time and unwavering commitment to this endeavor that I have so long desired. My studies have included the idea that true health and wellness requires activities that are enjoyable and relaxing. It is time for me to live up to that idea and have some fun, something just for me, and I believe that guitar playing is that activity.

I am excited to see that GMC has grown substantially, and offers more features like the mentoring program. I look forward to the time I will spend here and the quality of lessons and information being shared. My compliments to Kristopher and all the instructors for a great service at an affordable cost.
