Has Anybody Ever Built A Guitar From Mighty Mite Parts?

A maple neck with jumbo frets and a swamp ash body is about $200, plus whatever it costs for tuners and a bridge. I already have a loaded pickguard, so no need for that. The Mighty Mite parts are actually licensed by Fender, so save for the logo, they look just like Fender gear I think EVH built some of his first guitars from Mighty Mite parts and pickups. Also look into USCG but you may have to paint it yourself... but you don't seem like a man to shy away from challenge!! how did the Peavey turn out? That Peavey turned out pretty good, but I'm not completely satisfied with it. The frets are too small for my preference and the low E string doesn't resonate to my liking. It still a good sounding guitar, as the pickups in it are excellent, and its got great sustain, but I don't like the way the fretboard feels. Here is my second project. My brothers old hertiage, stripped it down and gave it a natural finish, installed one of those P90/singlecoil picks and made a pickup surround from black walnut & gave it a re-fret with Jumbos wire... That red guitar got a really nice color and finish Doing a three tone sunburst would be very difficult, thats why I was just gonna do a flat black or a transparent orange I could refret the Peavey, but I know for sure I would mess that one up... twice... first when I do it improperly, and then when I end up smashing it in frustration But its too late, I already ordered the Highway One Strat I got it as soon as Sweetwater got them in, and they're already sold out. Mighty Mite are fine, especially their electronic side. Their bodies and necks are fine too, although I'd rather use Warmoth for these! Having built from both I can vouch for them. I also think you get a better choice of Body/Neck shapes, routing AND finishing from Warmoth, especially if you want something a little more exotic!! The first guitars I ever built in the early 80's were all from MM parts (that's all we could get hold of back then) and their quality now is far better than it was back then!!! Thanks Jones Yes the Warmoth stuff is definitely the nicer of the two. I've heard their stuff are manufactured to higher specs than Fender.
