Fender Strat Classic Series Vs Player

Hey Guys..
I´m going to buy a guitar that have been wanting for a long long time .. The Mithy Stratocaster !!!! biggrin.gif
It's gona be a mexican classic series or a classic player ..
I think the classic player is a better choice and that is that one that i prabably will go for (the sonic blue one ) but i really like candy aplle red and there is a CAR in the classic series (oh and the headstock looks a lot cooler in theese ones) ..
SO my question is are the classic players really better than the classic series cause if they are not i would much rather have the Candy aplle red wich looks stunning ? and also i heard that the '69 pickups in the classic player were just copys of the original 69's is this true ??
