Assign Bass Sounds In Reaper

Hey guys,

so I did a bass track in guitar pro and import it in reaper as a midi.
No when I double klick this midi I see the piano roll with the notes on it.
But how do I assign the bass sound to them?? Till noe I dont hear nothing...

Ok I found something Hope it´s ok this way...Downloaded a free Bass vst and simply enable it in the effects of the track, seem to work

Gary Moore Style

Hey Ivan I have a question regarding your Gary Moore style solo lesson

lesson

I practise this mainly to improve my phrasing cause I really like this style of bendings and vibrato you play in there a lot.

But now I have my old slow blues/ballad problem: How do I get the rythm exactly?

How do I count this right? What would you suggest? Till now I go just with my feeling but I really play a lot of notes at the wrong place...

Maybe I need a system to count this like 1+2+ 1+2+ 1+2+ 1+2+ for straight 16th.

My First Reaper Recording!

Hey guys,

got my Pod Xt yesterday and now it was finally the time to record my first few takes with it!

I took the backing track from this lesson: http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/rhythm-gu...c-metal-rhythm/ and just tryed my best...

For recording I kept things really simple. Just an amp and little reverb so the sound isnt the best but I really have to find out how to get the best from this little thing!


but so much I can say: Really amazing what you can do with this gear in such a short time!

would be nice if you can post your suggestions what I can optimize, on my playing and on the sound. Every tip is welcome!

Setup Input Level On Pod Gx

Hi,

i´m reading tonymiros threads about recording in reaper and bought a pod gx. These lessons are really usefull but I have one question:

Where can I set the input or gain for my Pod GX device. There is no knob on it so i assume it´s in the windows audio settings. But I always get an error when trying to acces the recording volume.

For know I just setup my tone in the Pod Farm Plugin in Reaper and adjust the sound there so that it´s ok in the monitor.

Maybe you can look at the image I have made to see what I mean because i´m not sure if my english is good enough to explain it.
Btw. is this recording level ok? I strumm really hard to get this level, think average is a bit deeper...
