hi,
I just joined, and started on some lessons, a perfect circle by Gabriel. Even if I can just record one video but do both guitar parts I would like to know how to make a finished split screen video with my playing of 2 guitar parts.
I use a Mac with the latest firmware, logic prox, focusrite audio interface, amplitube4, and a usb cam.
I have to record in logic my guitar part while simultaneously recording with usb cam in QuickTime, then import the QuickTime video into logic then match the audio waveform of both QuickTime and my take in logic to sync the video to the audio, this is easy for me to do, but when I record the second take with video and import it into logic it removes the first video.

I am not a MAC user, but isn't iMovie part of Mac OX? As far as I know, you can import both of your videoes there and arrange them to have a splitscreen effect.

You can use imovie to do split screens etc. Here is the download link!
https://www.apple.com/imovie/

You can more than one video stream in imovie but I think it's limited to 2. if you want more control over your movie creation, look at a pro app like ADOBE PREMIERE which is a subscription from adobe $20 per month.
