Hey Everyone -

Just saying hi. I'm new to this site and instantly felt like it was a place I needed to be.

I've been playing for about 17 years now -- wow! that sounds really weird to say, but it's true, for the most part. I started when I was about 12-13 (you do the math! ) and played solid for about 5 years and then really put it down for quite a while. And ever since then it's been off and on but admittedly, mostly off. I don't want to bore anyone with my life story so I'll leave it at that for now!

Anyway, I stumbled on to this site from Kris's awesome youtube clips! Kris, those are grand buddy! And I have to say that this site is by far one of the best things that's happened to my guitar life! I think the 'Lick of the day' kept me coming back at first but then I stumbled on a couple of Gabriel's posts and it hooked me quick!! I knew it was time to sign up and take the challenge! Finally, I found the forums and man I gotta say, it's so great to read about other guitarists' successes, challenges, opportunities, etc...

So here I am inspired, motivated and recommitted to a long lost love. I really appreciate this site, all the members, and the positive atmosphere that you all provide. That is truly a hard thing to find in itself these days, and to have the core of it all about guitar and music, how do you beat that?! smile.gif

So howdy, and much love and respect to GMC.

Ketchup (and yes, I must be dyslexic because I can't even spell my own nickname! lol )

HAIL GMC!!

P.S.

I am a big music fan in general, I try not to have any biases on music or style, but my heart is with metal music. I am really into Lamb of God right now, but I also love Megadeth, old Metallica, Slipknot, Iron Maiden, and jive like that.

So if anyone out there shares my likes, I'd love to chat and share some jams with ya! Even if you aren't into that I would still love to have some conversations and jam out!! smile.gif I'm all about learning and trying different things!

Well, I shouldn;t really tell you - it will only make things worse for you ... but ...

Its a great guitar - nice action, fast neck, amazing tremelo, versatile sound palette, got pickups, cool looks ... I could go on - suffice it to say that I have finally found my guitar home, and she is the first guitar I ever named smile.gif

All hail GMC! Welcome Ketchup! I once knew a guy we called ketchup, because he wore a shirt to baseball practice that said "I put ketchup on my ketchup".

Well ... I had no idea I wanted a Jem until I joined GMC and started watching Pavels lessons, then one day I just had to have one and bought it on the spur of the moment - a decision I totally don't regret. Most people would say Stev Vai inspired them to get a Jem, my inspiration was Pavel smile.gif
