Hi folks Came across an old idea today and decided to get some work done on it.

But this is something kinda different then what i usually do though, so i dont really know what i'm doing .. and there's a big chance of suckage But decided to put up what i have done so far. It's still "metal" though

The production still have many, many quirks and flaws, mainly because it's a style i'm not very experienced with. There's a bit of a clash of sounds going around which makes the soundscape kinda messy.

There's supposed to be a solo on the section with the bass and drums alone but not sure what to play there yet

I think your on to something man. I would really like to hear one of your drop tuned riffs come in. Unless your trying to get away from that style with this one. Either way, I know you will bring the best out of it!

This was very different from what we are used to hearing from you. I don't mean this in a bad way at all.

There is some very cool sounding stuff going on with this piece but for my personal taste I would make it an Interlude to a song (hope I used the correct term). In other words a very short interesting piece that builds a feeling and the next song linked to it, which it flows into, is the climax. Just another crazy thought. There could still be some room for some cool guitar work at the end of it. That could be the blending peace for the 2 songs and bring them together.

I have no idea why, but this reminded me so much of Xenogears. I liked it!

I love that song! That song crossed my mind when making it actually.




I was trying to get away from the usual style, but recent updates might have pulled it more back to the usual.. will put up an update soon



Thanks I think thats a good idea to use it as a sort of interlude. And that made me think of another possibility:
I've always wanted to make an album that flows from start to finish with sections leading into the next, so i might make a variation of the theme to then bridge 2 other songs etc. It's a tricky thing to get right, but might be worth trying.

Different than your usual stuff, but i like it... i can imagine this playing to a 2d platform computer game ment in a good way offcourse

Boy! You must have a lot of unfinished projects!
