I'd rather have say, an expression pedal that lets me tilt the pedal not only up and down but also left and right, with my foot, so that I could create a range of sounds like that yet keep picking at the same time. I bet if he (or anyone else) gave it some real practcing there is a huge potential like David said. The way I understand it the actual"air" part of the guitar is like a whole different instrument which of course requires lots of practcing as well (just like any instrument). You could replace these with volume, gain, eq controls, whatever. So you could get kind of a wooshing sweeping sound when you take it say from the bottom left of min volume and min wah and go to top left which would be like maximum for each.
