Check it out!
This guy created an AIR guitar. Great technology and very cool potential.
Watch!

It looks kind of cool but at the same time kind of gimmicky. I'd rather have say, an expression pedal that lets me tilt the pedal not only up and down but also left and right, with my foot, so that I could create a range of sounds like that yet keep picking at the same time.

This looked like the guitarist's first jam with the new instrument (probably wasn't but that's not the point). I bet if he (or anyone else) gave it some real practcing there is a huge potential like David said.

The way I understand it the actual"air" part of the guitar is like a whole different instrument which of course requires lots of practcing as well (just like any instrument).

The electric guitar is such a young instrument! I can't wait to see what the future holds! biggrin.gif

By the way I just sketched out an idea for a cool dual expression pedal as described above:

Attached Image

Say, for example, that tilting it left and right gets you a stereo phaser effect and tilting it up and down gets you a wah effect. You could replace these with volume, gain, eq controls, whatever. So you could get kind of a wooshing sweeping sound when you take it say from the bottom left of min volume and min wah and go to top left which would be like maximum for each. Or any other kind of combination you could want. Or do they already have stuff like this?

The fact that he hand made this is impressive, seems like you would need some decent knowledge of engineering ect. to do this.
