I was doing some research on what it takes to create and run a youtube video channel and ran across this video. I thought it might be some good information for those of you running your own channel.
in a nutshell, the video covers how youtube ranks and decides how to promote your videos, what it looks at to determine if you're site is worth including in other site feeds (recommended videos), the benefit of cards and playlists, etc. it's a bit long, but i think worth your time if you really want to get your youtube views up.
