Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi mate! Nice job on this lesson! I really enjoyed listening to your playing. I think that there are only 2 little adjustments that you have to do to this lesson to make it sound perfect.

The first one is your bending technique. You don't look 100% secure with the bends and some of them sound a bit out of pitch. I think that this lesson is a great training for that so keep on playing it combined to the exercise that Joe shows in the video that I will post here.

The second thing to improve is your timing, mostly in the first 30 seconds where I note that you are not playing the phrases tight. Maybe you just lost your attention in that part and you can fix it easily, just concentrate on it.

Keep on the good job! wink.gif

Hey mate! I am honored you chose this lesson for a REC take smile.gif

The thing is that aside from what Gabe pointed out, a lot of the phrases are different from what I played - it's never a bad idea to interpret a piece, but in here, in the REC zone I mean, the purpose is to stay as true as possible to the original recording. In order to achieve that, I suggest that you make a recording against mine and see where your phrases are different - it's one of the best ways to note the differences!

And also watch out, for those quirky little bends in the beginning smile.gif Everybody has trouble with those - the one which is closest to my interpretation, is the one around 0:27 in your take!

Keep rocking mate!

Cosmin

I feel like the guitar is a bit too silent comparing to the backing but I like Your equal in whole freq range tone smile.gif till the 1:50 it sounded pretty solid. Your takes are good quality and You clearly spend time to work on details. What we mention is just a small part to be fixed and it will affect Your further playing smile.gif Since it's a Cosmin's lesson You can count on his feedback most smile.gif
