Has anyone tried one of these 15w amps out yet?

I am seriously considering getting one. I play more of a hard rock and blues.
Not so much of metal but I love Satriani type stuff. Gary moore. SRV.

I plan to ABY it with a Fender Champ also 15w.

Opinions?

haven't tried that particular Engl, but I would bet Engl has better overdrive for metal. Try to A/B them and see what you like the most, it's best that you be the judge.

The head is decent if you play it through a good cabinet (I am not a fan of the ENGL sound though)
The combo however sound absolutely terrible to my ears, just shrill and thin...

The amp is overall to modern sounding for what you want.

I believe that Orianthi plays Engl amps. So if you like her sound, its probably a good choice. But I would always advise trying them out to see which you prefer.

I'm considering buying an amp for home practice. I searched a bit on YouTube and found this vid, hope that'll help ya. I really like it's sound:
