Schecter Solo 6 Custom, Anybody tried it? |

Hello guys. I was wondering if anybody had the opportunity of trying one of this Schecter guitars. I sold my old Ibanez RG520qs because I rarely used it and I want to get a rocker guitar in this range of prices to have it as a second guitar in gigs (or with a different tuning).

yeah, I also heard lots of great things about Schecter.. the other model that I like from them is the tempest one.. I like how it looks and it's not an imitation of any classic guitar. There isn't any local store that has the solo 6 models but I think that I could try the tempest since I know that it can be found in stores here.

Tempest is surely a great looking axe, there are big chances it will be my second guitar after I buy a new amp:)

Hmmm, tricky thing you cannot try it out Gabe. I've played some low-entry Schecters, and they were nice guitars, a bit "weak" but nicely made and comfortable. The Fernandes Monterrey model looks great, I bet it's a very good guitar for rock. If I didn't have the choice, I would get it from the web, if possible, at least it's a way of getting it, and I'm not sure what could be that wrong on it. You're experienced played, look at the specs, look at reviews, and can make that decision. You can mod it a bit, and if it is a big problem, you can sell it as almost new.

I've never bought a guitar in ebay but I've bought other cheaper items and I've never had any problem. I think that this could be the best way to go... the looks on those guitars are really cool,

It really makes sense what Zakk says but it's not a guitar that I could afford now. You know.. here in this poor country everything costs much more.
