I have the same problem. Thats cause we downloaded it via torrents 4 free. Piracy does have a price...

Didn't have problem so far!!

Jammer - i think there is something mentioned in posting rules about stating downloading from illegal sources or pointing to them so please let's stay out of illegal stuff conversations! Thanks

Thanks so much, I was worried I could never use these GP Tabs again! It's people like you that make me love GMC so much.

I've got the same issue, but mine was given to me by a friend, and I doubt he's smart enough to know what piracy is.

******************* SOAPBOX WARNING **************************
First, a disclaimer. I do not work for Guitar Pro, or am in any way affiliated
with them. Having said that, I absolutely love the program. It has brought me
countless hours of total bliss. I'm a software engineer by trade, and know all
too well how much work and effort goes in to a piece of code like that. Many,
many thousands of man/woman hours.

FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, ARE YOU ALL REALLY THAT POOR THAT YOU CAN'T
AFFORD $59?

I can't believe how some people whine and complain about the high cost of
software, and a company like Guitar Pro comes along, and offers such a
fantastic, and useful product for so cheap, and people still rip them off.

Everyone that has download this software illegally, and you all know who you
are, should really be ashamed of yourselves.

I'm sorry? :'( but i dont have a job, or an allowance, or any money

I've not downloaded the illegal version at all or considered doing so.

However, I have no real means of purchasing the real thing, so I think I'll settle for the open source version offered here, even if it does have less features smile.gif

You didn't. Tuxguitar is excellent because it's free.

There are tons of software that would be great to have .To say "Can't ppl afford a few bucks just for an app" quickly sums up when there are tons to get.
If I was short on money Guitar Pro would definetly be in the very bottom of my list of stuff to buy, probably it wouldn't fit at all. I prefer regular texttabs and the song to listen to. GP isn't that imppressive actually.

Hmm Tuxguitar won't open any .gp5 files from the site, but everything I've gotten from ultimate-guitar (which compared to GMC, isn't so ultimate) works fine. Anyone else have this issue?
