I play about 1 hour with my band every day, but then I dont really practice stuff. just jam around and play our songs. Other than that I guess around 1-2 hours. But sometimes if I'm totally free from everything 1 day and I've watched a couple of live dvd's then I can play all day long laugh.gif

Well my internet crashed so I am at school so I have nothing better to do so I just play guitar now for about 5 hours. On a normal time I do about 1 or 2 hours.

I use to practice a lot more than I do now... If I am lucky.. I will get in 1 hour of guitar playing (electric). Most days I just sit around playing acoustic guitar now. Then when I play electric, I am mostly just playing to songs.. usually blues type stuff.

I did a couple of exercises yesterday that I use to do all the time.. and I felt really slow and "off." It hit me then.. that if I want to progress, I better start practicing more. I use to spend a few hours after everybody went to bed playing.. plus a bit during the day.

i get about 30 min to 1 hr every day, or sometimes none =[
the thing is i gotta go to school and then when i get home i play piano for 1:30 and then have dinner and then bla bla bla and then eventually end up with abit of time left b4 i feel too tired and go to sleep =/
god i wish i can use some of those lesson times such as geography, religious studies, drama, ICT, textiles (wtf!), cooking (WTF!) and loads of pointless subject hours to play guitar =/ i mean if i could choose i would play guitar all day long for 5 days a week, and then go to school for the important things for 2 of the days sad.gif

Between work, family (two kids), a house and other social responsibilities I don´t have too much spare time to play guitar. I would like to have some more time for it, but I don´t want to cut back on other things... tongue.gif

However, I try to get 3 sessions every week and then I play for about two hours. I am trying to structure my sessions around something like:
warmup - chords, scales and some basic exercises
lessons - GMC ofc: mainly speed picking atm.
"free practice"

For the time being I am using my "free practice" around the rythm sections on all the songs on Extremes Pornografitti album. I am using Guitar Pro and some tabs from 911tabs to do that.

I also try to have the guitar close at hand while watching TV at night. I konw I am not 100% focused while playing, but if I keep to exercises that I already have figured out, I think it works pretty good.

I am also checking out some different recording software to make it a bit more fun. I thought I would get http://line6.com/riffworks/, but now http://www.sequel-music.net/ seems like a really sweet deal.
