Hi Everyone! Im new to the guitar and realized that since Im not getting younger I might want to learn this life long interest.

Im currently learning scales and practicing some of the beginner lessons on this site. I am also trying to get better at practicing with the metronome. I can see how improtant that is. I have noticed some increase in confidence and speed since being a member of the site.

Chad

Hi, I am also pretty new to the site.

I was practicing the lick of the day today -( blues style in c minor pentatonic scale )and for the first time realised the importance of scales and improvising.

My question is can the backing tracks be downloaded so I can use them for more than 1 day, as this lesson will be gone tomorrow?

Welcome guys! And yes, the key to accuracy and speed is always the metronome. Way to go with starting out with good habits!

We're going to have a look at the licks of the day and see if we can make them all available in an archive for members. That way, you'll both get more than 24 hours to practice them, AND access to a bunch of new content at the same time!

We'll hopefully have this fixed by the end of the month.

Welcome!

I am new to the site also. If you are just starting out my best advice would be to start with the good techniques described in the lessons. I have played for years but have used some real bad techniques and I am having to 'retrain' my brain at the moment - man it's painful!!!
