Hi all,

I am new to the guitar, and found this site which is simply fantastic to someone like me.

I am at beginners stage (New Kid On The Block), and it all seems daunting to me when I listen to how people on here play... almost like everest!
My Guitar is a Takamine TSF48C which when played by someone with talent, sounds superb.

I am NOT young either I am 39 so quite late to be learning a Gat, so any helpful advice would be much appreciated, I do have trouble with some chords that stretch over say 4 frets! I have BIG hands but they work like a SLOW robot WITHOUT rhythm! lol

I look forward to learning from pretty much EVERYONE here lol

Thanks for the great Site,

Kevin.

Lol just kidding. Its good to have you here. Welcome to GMC!

I think its awesome when older folks (as in not incredibly young) take up guitar. The way I see it, you've been writing music all your life. Learning to play an instrument and studying theory is just the practice of getting all that music out of your head and into the world.

Welcome to GMC. You have made a great choice. I'm not young either...39. This site has helped me a great deal. I've been on for about a year now, and my playing have improved 10 times over. Best wishes to you.

Guitars: Epiphone Les Paul Standard (Modified), Yamaha Pacifica (Black; modified with different humbuckers and a few other things)

Equipment: Vox DA5 Digital Amp (It's a little weak, but fun nonetheless), Line 6 Pod X3 Live

Wishlist: An Ibanez RG Model, and a yummy Pavel and Andrew Cockburn JEM.. Mmmm. I'd also love a Marshall Stack. That'd be awesome. :D
