Still very raw, working on structuring some riffs I have written and getting some lead parts down. Right now with all the stuff I have planned out, it'll be around 6/7 minutes. But I dunno if that's too long or not.

The acoustic right now is MIDI and I might just keep it that way for the final version, for one I don't have an acoustic to record and two, even though its a very simple part, I doubt I could play it dry.gif

Hey mate! It would sound just great with a real acoustic! I would suggest the following:

- practice slowly and be careful to let all the notes ring - you want to get the clear sound and interpretation manner that a piano might offer
- raise things up to speed, focusing on good timing and letting the notes ring smile.gif
- record when ready

That's how I'd do it smile.gif

Well, the only thing I can record now is a DI guitar, so i'll just force myself to try and make it work with a good clean direct tone.

I've never actually taken the time to learn fingerpicking properly, so this'll be a good opportunity for me to improve on my weakest area of guitar playing.

Cool composition mate! I enjoy both sections, the acoustic and the distorted... I can't wait to hear the whole piece finished. Keep on the good work! smile.gif

If you have an acoustic with a pickup, you can plug it in the DI and you don't necessarily have to fingerpick wink.gif Working with a pick will provide a stronger and more defined sound smile.gif
