Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hey man, I thought that was a really tasteful rendition - well played.

It could do with sounding smoother, it's a bit rigid as is. Little details like the sweep is missing. Although it can be played as you have done it just might flow even more with those little touches.

Your picking approach doesn't appear to vary at all so that will make it harder for you to introduce more dynamics in your playing like softer pick strokes or more aggressive ones etc.. so maybe experiment with ways in which you can get the notes to sound slightly different tonally.

Hey mate!

As Ben pointed out, your take is technically correct, but it should be played in such a way that it will become more expressive. What would the options be:

- listen to the original recording as close as possible
- write down the moments in which you notice dynamic changes such as softer or harder picking
- isolate those parts and try to mimic the expression in the original recording as close as possible
- implement the parts and try to play them and the whole lesson with as much flow as possible
