Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Ok, so this is my first video ever recorded and published.
It's kinda a test and was done in quite a hurry, guess I will have to improve on "camera" positions (and playing) etc. in upcoming videos ;]

Video recorded using the my iPod Nano placed between the keys of my keyboard.
Audio generated using POD Farm, recorded using Reaper.
Edited using Windows Movie Maker.

Hi Skewlbuzz!

Nice first take, here are my remarks:

The overall timing is pretty good. The rhytm is ok, you just need to change the chords a bit quicker, i.e. leave out the gap
between the G and D.

You should try and improve your runs with a metronome, they are a bit imprecise. You should also work on your bending, especially
on your vibrato, try to make it more even maybe loosen it up a bit.

Cheers!

Pretty good take. Some notes are out of tune so pay attention to bending and vibrato. Video/audio recording quality is amazing for the first video! Congrats man! smile.gif

It was a good take. You need to spend more time in getting those pauses between the notes less prominent. They eat a lot of space here. Other thing to work on is bend/vibrato. It has to be consistent, even, stronger, precise.
