Hey everyone!
I've actually been quite sneaky and posted a bit before I actually introduced myself, so maybe it would be a nice time to introduce myself now! I'm Johan Sigfridsson, I'm originally from Sweden and I'm currently living and working in Milan, Italy since 1,5 years back now! I have been playing guitar Since I was roughly 16 years old, but right before I started working in Italy I ran in to the wall and felt I was stuck, I wasn't improving anymore as a guitar player, this ultimately caused me to stop playing and I have hardly touched the guitar since I moved. The main reason why I was feeling stuck is because I never knew anything about music theory what so ever and every time I tried learning I just ended up feeling discouraged and stupid since it didn't make any sense to me. About one month ago I picked up my guitar again and just out of pure luck I found this site! It's great and it's such a nice confidence boost for me as well since all the basic theory I've been reading through here on the forums, especially the stuff written by Andrew actually makes sense to me! In a sense, all this feels like starting over again and what a start!! I wish I would have found out about GMC earlier! -------------------- Guitars: ESP Eclipse I CTM Full Thickness, Ibanez RG470 with EMG81/85 pickups.

Hello and welcome to GMC Johan!! Please ask if you have any questions here in the forum Andrew's theory lessons are unique guideline and you will be able to grasp all the theory you have been missing very fast.. Yeah I really hope so, I mean for an example some parts of it I realize that I already understood I just didn't have words for them. But yeah for now I'm just starting out by making sure that I get a nice knowledge of the basic things and then I want to move on to learning some scales and how to actually utilize them to write licks etc! -------------------- Guitars: ESP Eclipse I CTM Full Thickness, Ibanez RG470 with EMG81/85 pickups.
