GMC Forum _ Competitions _ Discussion/entries : Student Instructor Lessons

Posted by: Andrew Cockburn Apr 6 2008, 03:47 PM

Thsi thread is for people to announce their entries and discuss them with others

Posted by: Kristofer Dahl Apr 6 2008, 06:18 PM

Awesome! biggrin.gif So just to clarify - the reason we have this thread is because new posts on the SI board aren't showed emmediately.

So if you have just posted a lesson of your on the SI board - it won't show until Smells or Andrew has checked it out. Therefore you can leave a notification here to say you have just submitted a lesson.

Have I got this right Andrew? unsure.gif

Posted by: Andrew Cockburn Apr 14 2008, 01:36 PM

Yeah, that must be it ... phew!

Posted by: OrganisedConfusion Apr 14 2008, 02:30 PM

I'm gonna try and do a lesson for this. Audio lesson. I don't want to do a video lesson as I don't want people to freak out when they see my sexy guitar skills lol. biggrin.gif

Posted by: Andrew Cockburn Apr 14 2008, 02:37 PM

Very sensible - if you challenge people with skills beyond their comprehension they will react with fear and note vote for you biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Posted by: OrganisedConfusion Apr 14 2008, 02:40 PM

I shall teach people how to play guitar with their feet. biggrin.gif

Is superize's entry fine for the rules of these SI lessons as I will use that as a basis for what is required in mine?

Posted by: Andrew Cockburn Apr 14 2008, 02:43 PM

I couldn't possibly comment wink.gif Go back and read the guidelines! But a clue is that Smells approved it, so he must be doing something right ...

I recently improvised around the fretboard in spanish gypsy metal style, so it might be something about that. Sounds pretty awkward but gives a cool exotic feeling.
We'll see... If it happens I'll do a video-lesson, but with the risk of disappointing the whole GMC-community I'll wear clothes, so don't sit up day and night hammering that reload-button!

I am sure that more enteries are to come near the deadline

Posted by: Ivan Milenkovic Apr 22 2008, 11:30 PM

Well this competition should last longer in order for seniors to have a wider choice. Also, these kind of entries take longer time to do so we must be patient biggrin.gif

Posted by: ztevie Apr 23 2008, 09:06 PM

OK, so I have posted an entry now. It's called "Improve your improvising" and it's about...Sscchhh, don't tell anyone, it regards the matter of improvising... blink.gif

So now we are 3 entrys, right? So let's close this thing now, I'd like to wim something for the first time in my life...
Nah, just joking, let the best entry win! (But let me at least get 2nd or 3rd prize!?) laugh.gif

Posted by: Zizi Top Apr 23 2008, 09:41 PM

Anyways im starting the recording process today and I hope that ill be done by the deadline!

To me that extra week would really help. rolleyes.gif Line 6 support believe the problem to be related to Windows Vista, so I want to format PC this weekend and install Windows XP.

Posted by: Sam Hook Apr 24 2008, 10:14 PM

I'm also working on one aswell. Thanks! biggrin.gif

Posted by: Andrew Cockburn Apr 24 2008, 10:49 PM

Ok, in the interest of getting some more entries, I'll move he deadline to the 5th of May smile.gif

Posted by: Ivan Milenkovic Apr 24 2008, 11:43 PM
